Ho! For HISTORICON!

The column this week will be very brief. As you read this, most of us here at Lost Battalion Games will take advantage of our work release programs to drive to Lancaster, Pennsylvania for the annual HISTORICON historical miniatures convention. There, as at the ORIGINS convention a few weeks back, we’ll once again be ambushing unwary passersby and demonstrating the BATTLELINES™ card game to them.
Although BATTLELINES™ is not a miniatures game, it is historical and should match the interests of many of the attendees. I say “should,” because this is a historical miniatures convention. Although BATTLELINES™ is a game that can interest historical gamers of any stripe, my experience is that people attend gaming conventions to play the types of games that interest them the most (historical miniatures, in the case of HISTORICON), so we anticipate a bit of a tussle to secure notice and are offering a freebie (a unique mini-deck of eight new cards) to help our cause. At the very least, we will be “showing the colors” and laying the groundwork for when we later add some miniatures titles to our line. Drop by our demo area to say “Hi!” and we hope to see many of you there.
Incidentally, this marks the sixth appearance of the “Publisher’s Corner” and we now have an area in our Forum for any rude observations and gripes that you may have about this feature. Although I may ramble shamelessly, it always helps to know what the readers want, so drop a comment or two.
